About Me:

I am a graduate student at Kansas State University. My research focus involces using petrology and geochemistry to study the link between volcanism and tectonic processes in Alaska.
I was born with a physical birth defect that makes physical activities a challenge. Field work is my passion and through trial and error I have managed to find my way to conduct fieldwork safely while accommodating my own personal limits.

I also come from a very economically disadvantaged rural background where opportunities for science outreach and education were very limited. As such I want to make the geosciences more accessible and inclusive for underrepresented groups such as minorities, individuals with preexisting health conditions and/or from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
