About Me:

Jim Dawson taught courses in sedimentology and environmental science at Suny Plattsburgh for 47 years before retiring in 2017. For 22 years (1993-2015) he contemporaneously served on the NYS Board of Regents/State Education Department with oversight for all of education in New York including the Offices for Special Education and Vocational Education for Individuals With Disabilities (VESID). He continues to have a substantial interest interest in geoscience education, particularly education to advance opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
