- About Me:
I recently finished my PhD in geology with a focus on geoscience education and volcano geophysics. My education research focuses on addressing the social, institutional and physical barriers to participation for students with disabilities in the geosciences, with a special focus on creating opportunities for accessible field work. My volcano-related research focus uses geophysical techniques to study phreato-magmatic craters caused by magma – groundwater interactions.
I’ve been on the board of the IAGD since 2016, and have a number of roles: I help with social media and promotional materials including creating the videos on our YouTube channel, assist with accessible field trips, and represent the IAGD at professional meetings.
I’m also a professional photographer, avid traveler, and total nerd.
Need a great new faculty member with years of geology teaching experience and a focus on making geology accessible for everyone? I’m your person!
