Title

Research Assistant in Palaeontology

About Me:

I am a palaeontologist at Capricorn Caves and Queensland Museum. I work on the Cretaceous, Tertiary and Quaternary Periods with the aim of studying the palaeoecology of sites to understand the long-term impacts of past environmental change on the evolution and extinction of Australia’s unique fauna. My research is focused on microfauna representing a variety of Australian palaeoecologies. I also specialize in fossil preparation and conservation and assist with the testing and development of new digital technologies to understand of our vast fossil heritage for use in research, science communication and palaeotourism. I work towards developing this technology into tactile multisensory exploration for people with sensory impairments and to be more inclusive of people with developmental disorders and learning disabilities.
