About Me:

I study past climate and biogeochemical cycles and have been at Bristol since 2000.  I helped found and was Director of the Cabot Institute for the Environment, which focuses on interdisciplinary approaches  and new ways of collaboration.  In that role, I worked with Ujima Radio and the Bristol Green Capital Partnership to explore diversity and inclusion challenges in environmental institutions, leading to the launch of the Green and Black Ambassadors.  I am now Head of the School of Earth Sciences.
