Columbus, OH – Chris Atchison has an idea to help those with mobile disabilities to see the world. He showed a virtual map of Mammoth Cave to show us what they been working on. Being a geologist, he gets to see many interesting places. Using technology, he creates virtual landmarks and landforms so that people with many different types of disabilities can experience them without having to leave their comfort zone. The Mammoth Cave project was so lifelike that one of the group members thought it was real.
Chris has wonderful ideas to help those with disabilities. With me having autism, it sounds like a great idea for individuals like me. His whole point was to show that it does not matter what is on the outside, but it is the inside that is most important. I only wished there were more people in the audience to listen to his great ideas.
