»IAGD Accessible Field Trip #417
The IAGD is again offering an accessible field trip at the 2016 GSA Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado, Saturday, September 24.
This trip is offered to post-secondary students with disabilities who are interested in studying the Earth Sciences, as well as faculty interested in learning how to accommodate students in the field.
You must apply to participate through the IAGD. The deadline to apply to participate has been extended to September 1.
TRAVEL GRANTS are available to students who participate in this field trip!

»Topical Session 87: Supporting Diverse Student Populations: Innovations and Strategies for Geo-Success
Although a date and time for when this session will be presented during the GSA meeting has not been scheduled at this time, this session will incorporate a number of cutting edge strategies both in field and classroom for the inclusion of students with disabilities as well as presentations for broadening participation in STEM disciplines for students with diverse abilities and from underrepresented ethnic/racial populations.
